The guy is trying to reinvent the wheel because some cavemen are trying to move it side-over-side, while the rest of us are rotating it on an axle.

Forum templates are a bitch to do and time consuming. They not only require a decent technical knowledge of how the css crap works, but there's lots of design skill. Good luck finding someone :(

It's an awesome blog. I loved it. I have a ton more to say, but lets leave it at:

I have way more fun knowing I survived an actual deadly situation. It's boring to be like, yeah well I'll stack feat X with skill Y and ninja power Q to avoid dying in Lava.

It died as a solid product line well over a decade ago. :)

But why? Is the ultimate goal an OSRIC thing where people can make releases for sale off of a regurgitated gaming system? Or is it to compile everything, add a few cool rules, and make a true blend, sort of like a mythical AD&D 1.5e? If it's the first reason, every reservation I had for OSRIC an...

I don't mind it once and a while. In particular, I like feeling I know my character from the beginning instead of having this cloud over him of obscurity until I picked him up. But our group got in a pattern of FINALLY getting somewhere and being able to take on more impressive things, then wham - l...

It seems that video rpg's (WoW, Everquest etc) have become the bar by which all rpg's are set against. Sad part is that while these games are by definition an rpg they have lost all th elements that made role playing so enjoyable. Sad, isn't it? If RPG's come up in casual conversation with random p...

The 4e QuickStart Rules are out. Here is the ammo to blast 4e. Arm yourselves! All classes now have 'at-will' abilities, or abilities than can use any time (or 'at-will'). Sleep and Magic Missile are both in that category for magic-users now (though MM needs a successful 'to-hit' roll now). Clerics ...

I could see the materials being shelved. I am fine being a developer on it, but there's a ton of time required to actually drive the project. There are three major issues I have right now: 1) My time is in flux. I am clearing up, but real life does happen. I had a project that lasted from October to...

It's just the small population pool in NH, I think. I think if you played with people in New England (I know, it sounds easier than it is to travel all over), then there's more of a pool. NH just sucks for tabletop gaming unless you succumb to the WizBro crap.

The stupid old elf full art (surrounded my younger space-elves or something) picture is pretty vile. The images of objects in blue/white are all pretty bad. The sketches from Easley are fine, but they are made worst with the ink being turned to blue.
