Got no problem agreeing about Undermountain :) I am afraid for my rights as a woman though. Rape is almost always dismissed, and if Kavanaugh gets in I expect my rights to disappear completely. I have not always agreed with the President, but never have I been afraid until now. Mira (Say nothing and...

Here we are going to disagree, I can easily believe in Kavenagh's guilt, it was when he was 17, it was a while ago, but guys that age... And if you are wanting him in the Supreme Court, then I will vehemently disagree. I can't agree with ANYTHING he champions, especially on women's rights and his st...

Played with the Adventure League Season 8 rules at Tri-Con Fall last weekend. While the Season 8 adventures in Waterdeep are fun, the AL rules are just plain stupid. (sarcasm) Wah, math is too hard, we can't use XP, let's just use 'check points' instead. 4 per level up to level 5, then 8 per level a...

I'm no expert when it comes to websites or message boards. I can help with Java, C# and a few other languages, but those are back end things, not front end where people see them. I used to be pretty good at troubleshooting Windows issues, but because I spent so much time doing that, I switched to ma...

I am interested to see what will become of this in 5E. Pretty sure Halaster will have lair actions and such to make it impossible for groups to be him specifically (and even if some DM allows it to happen, it won't be permanent) If they REALLY wanted it to be ridiculously deadly, they could keep the...

D&D 5E version of Undermountain
I haven't seen it yet, but it's coming up in the next season (season 8 of D&D Adventure League). There's adventuring from 1-5 in Waterdeep, then 6-20 in Undermountain. From what I've heard, Undermountain is quite deadly, and very likely not survivable by most groups. I'm also hearing there is goi...

I'm wondering how they will treat UnderMountain in 5E
Yes, the next season will start with some Waterdeep intrigue, then move into UnderMountain. Halastar is definitely going to be featured. I don't know any more about it yet.

It almost sounds like the Death Knights in WoW (yes, I know, sacrilege!). There's an anime and manga which has sort of a similar thing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grimgar_of_Fantasy_and_Ash except there's no apparent 'bosses'. It is interesting seeing people trying to fit into a fantasy world and ...

I finally decided to swap my old Motorola flip phone with a smartphone a few years ago, simply because my daughter likes texting and trying to text back on the old flip phone was quite painful. Now I can just speak and it shows up in the text, I can fix the few mistakes if any, then send it. That's ...

Well, we kind of need to know what Eternal Peace does. What does it mean? Are you put to sleep forever? Are you put into some emotional state where you wander around happy? There's already a spell for preventing raise dead from functioning, so I presume it's not one that makes one dead. Mira (If you...

The XP does seem to indicate they aren't meant to be super powered. So I'd probably read it as 1 HP/level. but since the spell to create them would be pretty high level, I could see giving them the THAC0 of a like level monster. Same with saves. If they are special undead, it should be more powerful...

How hard are they to turn? That might be an indicator of how strong they are. If they are turned just the same as normal skeletons, then I'd go with the 1 hit point per level idea. But if they can't be turned at all, that might be an indicator that they ARE meant to be that strong. Knowing what leve...

I guess part of the answer depends on HOW the magnetic force is being created. If it's not technology based, an anti-magic shell should at least provide protection. There precedence for an reverse magnetism spell to be created (though unless they know something, I doubt they would have done that) si...

The Temple of Elemental Evil has been redone for 5E with some interesting ideas, splitting out Temples for each of the elements and such. Not worth getting the details really, but this is the description from when they announced the product. Four apocalyptic cults of Elemental Evil are building secr...

One of the best things about 2E was when they did the specialty priests. I totally agree, clerics of different gods should NOT be the same. I still prefer the 1E druid though. And yes, Gods can't be slain by mere mortals that easily. Most of them have teleport no error at will, how can you kill some...

Today's flat screens are very light weight, the whole TV is only about 3 inches thick. We have it on small risers, so it's above the surface a bit, didn't want any spills to impact it. The risers are higher on one side to make the TV lay level. Jon has carried it to several conventions now and it ha...

My husband is currently using Fantasy Grounds (a virtual tabletop) and a flat screen TV laid on it's back (with a plexiglass shield for protection, connected to his laptop. He can use maps and add grids if they don't have them already and because of scrolling, size isn't a limitation. Unfortunately,...
