I don't want to use clones. I hate clones. Too scientific sounding. Bah!
Using a wish spell to make them all immortal is sorta chintzy, isn't it? And not very creative. Besides, I'd rule that it takes one wish for each of them, hence who is going to cast eight wishes? Eh.
Potions will eventually backfire, and after imbibing them for 1,000 plus years, I'm sure they'd have backfired by now. Considering there is a 1% chance per use of the potion backfiring, the chances of that happening after 1,000 years is beyond 100%.
No, oh no. Those won't do.
And just precisely why do those apprentices never leave the dungeon? Why doesn't Halaster ever leave the dungeon? Oh, there's a reason.
Yes, Halaster and his apprentices are over 1,000 years old and yet they remain youthful and healthy (well, not mentally, but physically). And I know the secret!

But I'm not saying.
