Question on psionic ability, dimensional blade

Post by garhkal »

Over on DF there's a discussion about the Psionic power, Dimensional Blade (from the will and the way), and whether the part of the description where it says "OH, and this blade strikes at +2 to hit and +2 to damage), means it makes that blade capable of striking foes needing magic to hit or not.

TO ME I see it as a NO, in that its already GIVING You bonuses to hit, based on the fact its IGNORING armor, (other than the magical pluses of the armor), GIVING IT also the ability to strike foes needing magic, is a 'bridge too far'..

What say you guys?
It's not who you kill, but how they die!

I don't use psionics in my AD&D games, and never read Will and the Way or even recall reading the Psionic Handbook in depth, but in any case I'd agree with you. It's going a bit far to let it hit things only hit by magic weapons.
