When continual damage??
So when a spell (or effect) does 'follow on' damage in successive rounds, such as with a melf's acid arrow, or heat metal etc, when do YOU Have that damage come in at? Is it on the initiative score that the spell initially came in on? the start of the round? The end of the round? Some other time?
It's not who you kill, but how they die!

Re: When continual damage??
Oh god! Sorry I haven't checked in, in awhile. Been so busy with Halloween season stuff (2 movies a night, etc).
I used to do it on initiative, i.e. if the priest went on a 5 initiative and cast heat metal, then the heating effect hits every round at initiative of 5. But it got tedious tracking that so I simply started incurring the damage at the beginning of each round. For the record, we always roll initiative round by round. So that priest may roll a 2 initiative in the next round, then 7 the following round, etc. Just made it easier to inflict damage at the beginning of the round than to remember what initiative it kicked in on.
