Cost/weight for pipes and tobacco

In several ADND novels and such, we often see someone wrote that "they are smoking on a Tobacco pipe", Especially Elminster!. BUT ive not seen anything from 1e OR 2e, that even lists how much Tobacco is, Let alone a pipe... Have any of you guys seen anything??

I even looked in Aurora's whole realms catalogue and saw nada...

So has anyone seen prices on them??

AD&D/D&D? Not that I know of. MERPS didn't cover this nor HARN? I wonder if there was a netbook?

Hmmm. No, I never have, now that you mention it! I was about to check Aurora's Catalog as well, until I saw you did. Hmmm. I'd assign them different values based on the material. Cheap wooden pipes perhaps a few coppers, bone pipes a silver piece or two, fancy ones with gold accents and what not a whole gold piece.

I would imagine the tobacco (pipe weed) being sold at the farmer markets to be just a few coppers. As for pipes I imagine for uniqueness that most would whittle their own or buy some from the local scrimshaw dealer for a silver or two.
