Happy Thanksgiving!

Post by Halaster Blackcloak »

Hey everyone! Just signing in while the turkey cooks to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)

I should probably get on my exercise bike and pedal my ass off for the next four hours to create a calorie deficit, considering my dinner will probably clock in at 4,500 calories or so!

Well, I had the week off - 8 days actually. And it turned into a goddamned nightmare. Just unreal how that happens. I found out late Wed. night that the gluten free bread I get from the only store that sells it was moldy. Which is odd. It comes frozen. Usually I check it carefully but I was in a hurry and bought a box of 4 loaves and didn't think to check for mold on freaking FROZEN bread. And Wed. night as I started to prep the stuffing, I saw it had mold. I went BERSERK on the phone to the store. I had to drive there at 9:30 PM and they closed at 10 PM. So it was 65 mph all the way there (in mainly 35 mph zones) to exchange it. Unreal.

But man was Thanksgiving dinner GOOD! Of course, it involved about 50,000 calories, but who's counting?

It's stressing me out how fast the holiday season (Oct. 1st through the New Year for me) is going. Trying to get all this Christmas decorating done. I literally worked 14 hrs today and it's STILL not all done!

Of course, I have two full sized trees, a cardboard fireplace from the 70's, light up figures, villages, train sets, and 20,000 other decorations to arrange. And being my first year in this apartment, it's all new designing, unlike the old place. So it becomes even more work!

At the edge of madness, he will show no sadness
Never broken, he'll be back for more
Proven under fire, over trench and wire
No fear of death, he's unshakeable
Forged for the war, he's unbreakable
