We may have some artists
I may have dug up a couple of college artists. Interviewing them this week. They're gonna have to be serious and present me with lots of art up front. We'll see how it works.
Also, I am taking the week of Thanksgiving off. I'm going to use the down time to catch up on the BIP Project. Stay tuned!

That's exactly the problem. What we don't need are "a few pictures". We need an artist who can commit to the project on a full time basis, who can commit to doing regular work and crank out 40 top-quality illustrations. Crazy how we can find everything else other than artists.

Gotta see some samples first. I'm not too concerned with speed as long as they keep cranking out two pieces or so a week. We need commitment and regularity more than speed. We keep having setbacks, but we keep moving forward. It's just that the art needs to catch up as well.

Wow! Most of those look pretty good!
Can he ink them? Pencil art won't work, we need it inked. Although if need be I can probably do that in Photoshop (or Gimp) myself. That's not a big deal ultimately.
So now the question is (as always)...can he crank out top-notch work (ie his best effort) on a regular basis and complete about 35-40 images? Keep in mind they need backgrounds for the room depictions, although many of the needed pieces would be similar to this one in total detail or amount of artwork:

The latest (last) artist seems to have dropped the ball entirely.

My friend is working on a few more drawing for you. She doesn't have any experience with ink drawings, but is going to try. She can not guarantee getting drawings out at 1-2 a week as they are done in her spare time in between work, tending her farm and general life stuff. She does want to do the drawings though. She has asked me to get some room descriptions so she can draw those and see what you think.

Considering it's been a month without another sample, I think we can rule this artist out. We need life in our artists. Excitement. Enthusiasm. Ain't gonna work if it takes a month to get just one sample since the last one. Again, this is the ongoing artist problem.

Understandable. Have you tried putting word out to the site elfwood.com? perhaps an artist from there would be interested.

here are a few in pen, she has never done pen drawings before. the last one is from a room description i gave her over the phone of RoU1 lvl1 room3 Nimraith's rest.
A room description or list of what you want drawn would also help as she doesnt know what you want drawn.

Unfortunately, her style is far too 1E, so it won't work for the level of detail we're looking for. And yes, I tried elfwood.com, which is where I found a lot of crazies, a lot of MIA artists, and one guy who posted copyrighted material from the project on the elfwood site despite an NDA, when we signed him on.
