2010 finally produces some good news!
Well, there is good news. First, the Undermountain project is moving forward! We have Tarrax doing the art, and that's going well. We've tweaked the shit out of the sub-level map and made it crazy convoluted for players to map. A real deadly area! Doirche is working on that now.
I'm going to try to get the sub-level finished off soon so we can wrap up Level 8 and then we're done!
We have a cool TSR artist doing a free, full-page illustration for us, and his name is gonna remain a suprise, but wow! I can't wait to see what he produces for us! Ummm...I might have mentioned this a month or three back, but hey, good news is good news!
And finally, y'all might want to sit down for this one! I wrote Ed Greenwood and sent him some copies of the maps we did, and the entire write-up for Level 7 and he loved it! He was shocked that anyone loved Undermountain so much to put this much work into it. We exchanged a few emails and he actually said (and I quote) "I wish you guys had been working for TSR back when they decided to do Undermountain II. We'd have had a top quality release if you had!". I about fell over.
I asked him if he would do the foreword for us, and he agreed to go one step beyond that. I told him we haven't gotten the adventures booklet started yet, and he agreed to do that part for us! Sweet mother of Xmas, that almost knocked me off my chair!
So this will make it a totally faithful release, with Greenwood himself co-authoring the adventures booklet (he and I are sorta collaborating on it, although I'm just giving him ideas, he's doing the actual writing), a TSR artist doing a full page art piece, and perhaps one more surprise if I can pull it off (more on that another time).
We've been overdue for some good news. Break out the champagne!

Wow! It's great Ed Greenwood decided to contribute! Tymora must have had you in mind, Hal!
